Dalibor Dostál is the director of the conservation company Česká krajina. In 2015, in cooperation with scientists, he established the first, and so far the largest, national reserve for wild horses, bison and back-bred aurochs in the former Milovice military area, and later another pasture reserve in Podyjí National Park. The project won the Josef Vavrouška Award and the SDGs Sustainability Award in the climate change category. As an author, he has participated in several publications dedicated to large ungulates and natural grazing. He promotes cost-effective solutions in nature conservation based on a combination of natural processes and digital technologies.
