Martin Jahn has been a member of the board of directors of ŠKODA AUTO a.s. for sales and marketing since March 2021. He has many years of experience in foreign trade, industry, and the automotive sector. He studied foreign trade and international relations at the University of Economics in Prague and received his MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. He began his professional career at the CzechInvest agency, where he gradually held leading roles in marketing, headed the foreign representative office in Chicago, and was the CEO since 2000. In the years 2004–2006, he served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic for Economy. He then moved to the automotive industry. At ŠKODA AUTO, he led human resources management, then worked at the Volkswagen Group in Russia and Germany, and later held leading positions in China, where he was responsible for sales and marketing of the group’s brands. In addition to his work at ŠKODA AUTO, he is the president of the Association of the Automotive Industry of the Czech Republic, vice president of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Czech Technical University in Prague.
