Zuzana Harmáčková, Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences
Zuzana V. Harmáčková, Ph.D., has focused her research on scenarios of future development and social resilience at the Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and at the National Institute SYRI. She deals with the creation and analysis of future scenarios and paths to sustainability in cooperation with experts, political representatives, and representatives of the public sector across different cultural and geographical contexts (Czech Republic, Europe, Central Asia, Africa). She contributes to the activity of international platforms improving the transfer of knowledge about sustainability between researchers and policy makers (e.g., within the science-policy interface IPBES – Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services). She teaches at the Faculty of Science of Charles University and the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University.
